Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Hollis Brookline High School.
At HBHS, we are committed to providing students with more than an outstanding academic experience. We strive to develop curious learners, thoughtful citizens, and engaged members of our community who are prepared to succeed in college, careers, the military, and overall life beyond high school.
Our work is guided by our Core Values of integrity, innovation, individuality, intellectual curiosity, and involvement. These values shape our classrooms, our activities, our relationships, and our  expectations for one another. We believe every student should feel challenged  academically, supported personally, and connected to the larger HBHS community.
Learning at HBHS extends beyond the classroom. Whether students are competing on the field, performing on the stage, serving others, leading organizations, or exploring new interests through clubs and activities, these experiences are an important part of what it means to be a Cavalier.
This year marks the third year of our Advisory Program. Advisory will meet on Mondays and Fridays, intentionally framing the week for students by creating time to set goals, build relationships, reflect on
progress, and strengthen connections within our school community.
Our CAVBlock time, held Tuesday through Friday,  provides students with dedicated opportunities during
the school day to seek extra help, collaborate with teachers and peers, make up work, explore interests, and get ahead academically. Learning to use this time effectively helps students build the  independence, responsibility, and self-advocacy skills that are essential for future success.
As we begin the year, we encourage every student to challenge themselves, become involved, support one another, and take full advantage of the many opportunities available at HBHS. The strength of our school comes not only from our traditions and accomplishments, but from the contributions each member makes to our community every day.
We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and Cavalier pride.
